After selling her Greenwich Village apartment in New York, actress Julia Roberts has had more time to spend at her prime property in Malibu. Costing $9.5 million (and a total of $20 after renovations) Roberts' home with her husband is full of energy-savvy appliances and powered by solar panels. The property is huge, with a total of 6,000 square feet right next to the beach with beautiful views of the water up close.
In fact, Roberts owns two properties in the famed beach community. In 2017 she purchased a second Malibu home for $3.895 million near Point Dume.

Actress Jennifer Aniston has had her hand in the Los Angeles real estate market for a while. One of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood, Aniston has bought mansions as a single woman, as well as with her ex-husbands Brad Pitt and Justin Theroux.
Her Beverly Hills mansion, pictured above, features five bedrooms and a gym, which she listed for $42 million. Aniston is also in the process of selling her $22 million Bel Air home that she bought with Theroux. The home is also where they got married.
Alan Jackson's Lakefront Home in Tennessee
Country artist Alan Jackson purchased a 135-acre property in Franklin Tennessee with plans to build a custom home. Inspired by Tara in Gone With The Wind, Jackson designed the whopping 18,622-square-foot home with four bedroom suites and a nanny's quarters.
It took two years of construction before the house was ready to move in, in 1997. The house has a stunning view of the lake, and plenty of living and dining space for family and guests.
Meghan Markle's Private Life in Toronto
Before she became the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle lived in Toronto, Canada in a quaint home. The modest appearing home, sitting close to neighbors leads into a modern interior. Meghan rented the home from a couple while filming Suits in the city.

The young singer had a home in Calabasas for a short while, before settling on a 1951 single-story home in Studio City, which is much more quaint and classic compared to her previous homes that were more suited to entertain guests.
Rob Lowe Went Big
Actor Rob Lowe didn't compromise on anything when it came to his mansion near Santa Barbara. The property spans 20 bedrooms and features a Georgian-style home that brought Architectural Digest knocking at his door for a magazine spread.
His wife told the magazine, "The minute I drove onto this land, I said, ‘This is it!'" Lowe bought the home for $42 million and spent another $6 million on renovations to encompass the exact southern style the Virginia-native envisioned.

Katy Perry Got In a Legal Battle With a Nun When She Tried to Buy a Convent
Leave it to Katy Perry to get in a bizarre legal battle like this one. The saga started in 2015 when Perry tried to purchase a Medieval-Spanish-Gothic-Tudor estate. The estate had been sold by the sisters of the Most Holy and Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Dana Hollister, a restaurateur, who then tried to sell it to Perry.
The nuns were not OK with Perry buying the estate, which includes 30,000 square feet of living space, a pool, a tower, and an adjoining prayer house all for an asking price of $15 million. Perry took the battle to court where things only got weirder. Tragically, while in court, Sister Catherine Rose Holzman collapsed and died. Before her death, Holzman said in an interview that, "Katy Perry represents everything we don't believe in" and "It would be a sin to sell to her."
Ryan Lewis' Enviable View In the Pacific Northwest
Ryan Lewis made it big when he joined Macklemore and released hits like "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us." The DJ seems to keep his personal life relatively quiet, but he did cause quite the stir when he purchased this insanely gorgeous home outside of Seattle.
